Pile Drivers by ICE are Helping to Rebuild New Orleans

Nearly four years after Hurricane Katrina, the rebuilding of New Orleans canals and levees are about 50% complete. The daunting scope of work presented to the Army Corps of Engineers is needed to repair the damage caused by Katrina. Rebuilding the canal structure of New Orleans is the largest design build project in the Corps history. This effort has been aptly named Task Force Hope, when it is finished it will have taken 6 years and the repair/replacement of 220 miles of levees and floodwalls, new flood gates and pump stations at the mouths of 3 outfall canals, and strengthening of existing walls and levees.
International Construction Company (I.C.E.) is an important part of this rebuilding effort and is proud to be at the forefront of Task Force Hope. ICE staff are experts in the design, manufacture and application of pile driving equipment; it's no wonder that they are the world's leading supplier for all types of deep foundation structures. I.C.E. has been building and customizing deep foundation machinery since 1974 giving them a wealth of experience in knowing what needs are likely to arise from many different conditions and parameters facing contractors. I.C.E. equipment has been used in the work done at 2 of the 3 outfall canals for sheet pile installation and structural requirements of the flood gates and pumping stations.

Pittman, Gulf South Piling & Construction, Cajun Construction, Continental Construction, Richard Goettle Construction, Shavers-Whittle Construction, Centaur Construction, and Hills Brothers. I.C.E. wants to know they are there for their clients and insure.C.E. pile driving equipment is meeting the needs of these jobs.
