Proof That Stress Causes Hair Loss
If you ever doubted it then now is your time to realise that stress is the number one cause of hair loss. I have recently come across an article where a young girl aged 14 has completeley lost her hair due to school bullies. She had for 3 years put up with bullies punching her, pulling her hair and even setting it on fire, she was then devastatingly diagnosed with epilepsy, which doctors believe was brought on by the chronic bullying
She now studies at home full time and look much healthier. It just goes to show you that stress is the number one main cause for hair loss and most illnesses.
Yep, stress has now been scientifically proven to cause hair loss, in a recent German study. See — http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=2&ContentID=87057
Stress causes hair loss in three ways:
1. by causing hormonal surges that unbalance the hormones and overwork the liver.
2. By causing ‘nutrient sapping’ — nutrients are needed to deal with the stress and your hair goes lacking.
3. Weakening of the circulation: blood flow to the scalp is impeded due to tension in the neck, shoulders and other muscles and due to nutrient depletion having a detrimental impact on the circulatory system.
What do you do?
Change the way you deal with stress.
Stress has a massive impact on your physical health. If it’s damaging your health you have to do something about it TODAY. Don’t let it ruin your health.
Whatever the source of the stress (bullying, work, marital problems) it’s no good letting it go on.
Some stresses can be solved by removing yourself from the situation — eg bullying. But other stress (like work stress) have to be dealt with.
Rather than running away from the problem you can actually change the way you deal with the stress by training your mind to react calmly to stress and pressure.
That’s what I did and that’s (partly) how I grew my hair back.
